Wolves vs Bournemouth Preview

Wolves and Bournemouth are in unconvincing form and both sides have been poor at the back recently. Sticking with goals is the best bet in this mid-table tussle.

Head-to-Head

Wolves and Bournemouth have won seven matches each and drawn four in 18 meetings.

Wolves Form

Wolves are winless in five consecutive Premier League matches and have fallen into the Premier League’s bottom half.

Wanderers have taken just two points from five, with draws at Burnley (1-1) and Nottingham Forest (2-2). The Nottingham Forest stalemate came before a 2-0 home loss against Arsenal.

Wolves struggled to threaten Arsenal with 0.16 expected goals and five shots. The Midlands outfit conceded either side of half time without reply.

Wolves Injuries & Team News

Midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and defender Craig Dawson are unavailable due to injury.

Forwards Pedro Neto, Matheus Cunha and Leon Chiwome are also out.

Bournemouth Form

Bournemouth are comfortably in mid-table after winning three of their last six matches.

A three-match winning run gave way to two defeats and a draw in the Cherries’ last three. Defeats at Luton (2-1) and Aston Villa (3-1) came either side of a 2-2 draw against Man United.

Bournemouth started positively at Villa Park on Sunday as Dominic Solanke netted a 30th-minute opener. Andoni Iraola’s side then allowed 2.63 expected goals and conceded three goals.

Defensive pair Ryan Fredericks and Chris Mepham are out.

Forward Luis Sinisterra and midfielder Marcus Tavernier are also ruled out.

Verdict

Wolves often score against mid-table opponents and Bournemouth have quality in attack. Both sides will want a positive display following some patchy form and BTTS is expected at Molineux.
