Fluminense vs Chelsea Predictions
Chelsea have looked very good value at the Club World Cup to date, bar for the one slip-up against Flamengo in the group stage. I am backing them to advance against Fluminense who are fortunate to still be in the tournament.

- Fluminense have won their last 2 matches.
Head to Head
This is the first time these two will meet in a competitive fixture.
Fluminense Form
Fluminense have played well during the Club World Cup, although some of their results have been quite fortunate. After beating Ulsan in the group stage, they needed a point against Sundowns, which they got, but Sundowns should have won the game.
In the round of 16, Fluminense produced their best performance, defeating Inter Milan 2-0. Last time out, the Brazalians won 2-1 in the quarterfinal against Al-Hilal.
Matheus Martinelli put them 1-0 up five minutes before the break ebfore Al-Hilal leveled the game up just after half time. Hercules found the winner on the 70 minute mark.
Chelsea Form
Chelsea began their CWC gorup stage with a dominant 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC before suffering a 3-1 defeat to Flamengo.
Chelsea needed something from their last game and they duly delivered, beating ES Tunis 3-0 in the final pool fixture. A dramatic round of 16 game followed against Benfica where The Blues led thanks to a Reece James goal but the game was held up for well over an hour due to poor weather conditions.
When the teams came back out, Benfica leveled the game up in the 96th minute with a penalty. Chelsea, however, dominated extra time to win 4-1.
In their quarter-final clash against Palmeiras, Cole Palmer gave Chelsea a 1-0 lead before being pegged back. An own goal sealed the Chelsea win in the 83rd minute.
Verdict
Chelsea controlled possession in their last three matches and should have more of the ball against Fluminense. Cole Palmer scored first in the quarterfinals and I expect the Blues playmaker to be the star of the show here.
