Monterrey, much like River Plate, also had some disappionting results before the Club World Cup began. However, what one can expect from the Mexians is attacking football as they seldom fail to score.

In the opening Club World Cup fixture, Monterrey drew 1-1 against the more fancied Inter Milan. It was a very positive result for the Mexican side who will hoep to take that forward with three points in this fixture.
