Urawa Reds have lost both games at the Club World Cup thus far. They can no longer qualify for the last 16.

The Reds have not been particularly poor, they just haven't been good enough to get the results required. In their opener, the Japanese club lost 3-1 to River Place.

Things started off well against Inter Milan in their second match as Ryoma Watanabe gave htem a lead. However, the Italian side dominted the game, winnng 2-1 in the end.

Monterrey will most likely advance to the Club World Cup playoffs if they defeat Urawa Red Diamonds on late Wednesday night, currently sitting in 3rd place with two points.

Monterrey will be very pleased with their performances to date and victory here should send them through. They drew their opener against Inter Milan 1-1 with Sergio Ramos scoring.

In their second game, the Mexican side were outplayed by River Plate and failed to create anything in front of goal. However, at the back they were very good, holding on for a 0-0 draw.
