In a game that had plenty of half chances but both teams only managed two shots on target, it was Keorapetse Sebone who scored the only goal in the 18th minute. Polokwane City only had 38% possession but defended their box well to come away with the points.

Durban City won their first ever PSL game 2-0 against TS Galaxy away from home in round one and backed it up with a 1-0 win at home against Chippa United a few days later.

Last week, in a KZN derby, Durban City drew 1-1 at home to Golden Arrows. City went 1-0 up in the 10th minute thanks to an own goal but Arrows leveled the game up before the break.
