Fiorentina vs Maccabi Haifa Predictions - Shootout Expected in the Conference League

This is going to be the second head to head match between Maccabi Haifa and Fiorentina. 

Fiorentina won the first tie 4-3 last week in Budapest (neutral venue). 

The first tie against Maccabi Haifa was full of twists, but eventually Fiorentina emerged victorious 4-3, Rolando Mandragora and Antonin Barak scoring late goals to secure the advantage. M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltran also found the net in Budapest. 

Fiorentina jumped directly into the Round of 16 in the Conference League after topping Group F with 12 points (three wins, three draws), ahead of Ferencvaros, Genk and Cukaricki. 

Viola were victorious at home against Cukaricki 6-0 and Genk 2-1, while the duel against Ferencvaros ended without a winner 2-2. Luca Ranieri is the top scorer for the Italian side in this competition with three goals. 

Viola were involved in another high-scoring affair last weekend in Serie A, winning a point at home against Roma 2-2 which kept them in 8th position. 

Oliver Christensen and Christian Kouame are injured. 

Maccabi Haifa defeated Gent 2-1 on aggregate in the Conference League playoffs in mid-February, winning the first leg 1-0 as hosts, followed by a 1-1 draw in Belgium, Frantzy Pierrot scoring both goals. 

This Israeli side ended up in this competition after winning the 3rd place in Group F, behind Villarreal and Rennes, ahead of Panathinaikos with a score of one victory, two draws and three defeats. 

When it comes to their appearances in the Israeli top flight, Maccabi Haifa suffered an unexpected 2-1 defeat last weekend at Maccabi Bnei Raina.
