The Knight Riders are up in second place thanks to a great start to their season with three wins on the trot. They have since yo-yoed between winning and losing and will be hoping to strike greater consistency. The Delhi Capitals had a horror start with four losses from their first five matches. They then turned a corner, winning four of their next five matches to move to fifth on the table.

Mumbai chased well but fell 10 runs short, in the process picking up the 12th-highest score in IPL history. Rasikh Salam (3/34) was the pick of the Delhi bowlers.
