They have a devastating spin attack with Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy set to bowl in tandem. Their batting is full of power, with New Zealand pair Finn Allen and Tim Seifert ready to provide big platforms for the talented top-order of Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh.

Match Analysis

The Wankhede Stadium is a good batting wicket, playing true and offering plenty of bounce. The small boundaries encourage the big hitters and as the pitch flattens out through the match the side batting second has the best conditions for chasing.

The pitch will reward the pacemen if they hold a tight line and length, and in four of the last six matches at the Wankhede the bowlers have picked up at least 13 wickets.

The pitch favors high scores, with sides averaging around 175 runs per innings and with 53% of wins coming from teams chasing. The highest team score was 235/1 by the Royal Challengers, while the Mumbai Indians set the highest successful chase when they reached 214/4 against the Rajasthan Royals in 2023.

In their final match last season Mumbai hit 7 sixes and conceded 13 at the Wankhede, while the Knight Riders hit 12 but conceded 19.
