The Qalandars season is looking desperate after a heavy loss to the Sultans left them locked to the bottom of the table. Zalmi started with two losses but have won three on the bounce to move up to third on the table.

The Sultans hammered the Qalandars bowlers for 214/4 off their 20 overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi (2/39) was again the pick of the Qalandars bowlers.

The Qalanadars got their chase off to a good start through Sahibzada Farhan (31), Fakhar Zaman (23) and Rassie van der Dussen (30), but there was no support from the middle order as they collapsed to 155 all out off 17 overs.

Zalmi saw off a good challenge from Islamabad to pick up their third win in a row.

Zalmi racked up 201/5 off their 20 overs, Babar Azam’s great form continuing with a powerful innings of 111 of 63 balls, with 14 fours and two sixes.

Islamabad fell eight runs short of their target, ending on 193/9 after a devastating bowling performance from Arif Yaqoob (5/27).
