The Gladiators got off to a strong start thanks to Khawaja Nafay (51 off 26 balls). Hasan Nawaz (67* off 38) dominated the second half of their innings, taking his side through to a thrilling last-ball finish.
Quetta Gladiators Team News
Gladiators skipper Saud Shakeel has struggled to perform at the top of the innings and might drop down the order, especially with Finn Allen and Rilee Rossouw having returned in time for the playoffs.
Islamabad United Form
Islamabad United ended their four-match losing streak by beating the Karachi Kings by 79 runs.
Sahibzada Farhan (73 off 41 balls) and Alex Hales (88 off 35) got Islamabad off to a flying start with an opening stand of 153 off 11.3 overs. They finished their 20 overs on a monster score of 251/5.
The Islamabad attack had the Kings reeling at 114/7 thanks to magnificent bowling from Shadab Khan (4/45). Salman Irshad (3/28) and Imad Wasim (2/22) were also on fire as the Kings were bowled out for 172 off 18.2 overs.
Islamabad United Team News
The addition of Hales to the squad has had an immediate effect on the Islamabad squad, and they look the winners once again.
