A superb bowling performance from the Gladiators rolled Islamabad for 179 off 19.4 overs. Usman Tariq (3/32, econ 8.0) was the pick of the Gladiators bowlers.

Rishad Hossain made a huge impact when returning to the squad from international duty, taking three for 34 against Islamabad. Rishad stepped back into the squad in place of Sikandar Raza, who played in the one-off Test against England at Trent Bridge.

Lahore Qalandars Form

Lahore Qalandars made it three wins on the bounce when they beat Islamabad United by 95 runs.

Kusal Perera (61 off 35 balls) and Mohammad Naeem (50 off 25) powered the Qalandars to 202/8 off their 20 overs.

The Qalandars attack wrecked the Islamabad top-order, reducing them to 33/4 in the sixth over. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza and Rishad Hossain each picked up three wickets.

Two-time champs the Qalandars only just sneaked into the playoffs. They are on a good run of form but need to be at their best if they hope to challenge the Gladiators for the title.
