David Miller has been Paarl’s go-to man with the bat, scoring 161 runs at an average of 53.67 and proving invaluable in the death overs chase. They will be hoping Dan Lawrence finds his feet quickly and that Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Asa Tribe, Rubin Hermann and Sikandar Raza can all start contributing big runs.

Raza has been the star bowler this season, taking 11 wickets at just 4.94 runs per over, with his incredible variety and control playing havoc with the opposition. Ottneil Baartman has also enjoyed a magnificent season, nabbing 11 wickets (ave 12.27) and he has been a key weapon in the powerplay and during the death overs.

Durban's Super Giants Form

After the frustration of three defeats and three abandoned matches in their last six fixtures, the Giants picked up just their second win of the season when they beat the Sunrisers by two wickets with three balls to spare.

Jos Buttler has starred with the bat for the Royals, hitting 168 runs in five knocks (ave 42.00) at a strike rate of 163.11. Marques Ackerman has scored 27 and 45 in his two matches this season and will hope to kick on in the closing matches. Aiden Markram’s 135 runs (S/R 137.76) have proven valuable, but he will be hoping to notch a big one in the next two matches.

Noor Ahmad and Eathan Bosch have both taken five wickets while Simon Harmer has taken just three, but at an economy rate of 5.90. Their batters and bowlers' statistics have been skewed by virtue of having three matches abandoned.

Royals captain David Miller was impressed with his side’s bowling performance despite losing to the Capitals: "The pitch was on the slower side and got slower as the game went on. The last four to five overs I still thought it was a good bowling performance. Trying to limit the dot balls is a challenge on such a pitch. Boundaries came but they are few and far between. It's tough losing but we'll learn from this one."

Super Giants skipper Aiden Markram was relieved that his side had picked up their second win of the season. "The win is the biggest thing at this stage, so it's nice to get some points. We are in a position now where it feels like a must-win every time. The wickets can be challenging here and can get slower throughout the innings. We're very blessed to have two really good spinners as well as Livingstone, who gives it a great rip. The boys bowled really well,” said Markram.
