The Aussies are on a high after beating the reigning T20 World Cup holders England on Saturday with their depth with both bat and ball proving too much for the rival Pommies.
A 70-run opening partnership between David Warner and Travis Head at a run-rate of 11.6 an over got the Australians off to a perfect start, Warner (39 runs) fell first and Head (34 runs) shortly after. Mitch Marsh (35 runs) and Glenn Maxwell (28 runs) added another 65 runs together and continued the damage before Marcus Stoinis (30 runs) led the tail with Australia finishing their 20 overs at 201.
England responded well with a 73-run opening partnership between Phil Salt and Jos Buttler, but Adam Zampa got the breakthrough in consecutive overs removing Salt then Buttler. England were unable to put together another partnership of more than 30 runs as their run-rate was sunk significantly by the bowling attack of Australia, reaching just 165 before the balls ran out.
Pat Cummins was at his best in his first game of the World Cup, claiming two wickets at an economy rate of just 5.75 per over.

It took Namibia a Super Over to get past Oman in their opening match with David Wiese playing the hero with a 21-run partnership with Gerhard Erasmusin in the extra over before giving away just two runs of two balls before getting the wicket of Naseem Khushi which sealed the win.
Namibia did not have the same fortune in their second match, unable to protect their 155-run total against Scotland, which was heavily influenced by Gerhard Erasmusin 52-run half-century, however, the Namibia captain couldn’t get any long support in the middle.
Erasmus then took two wickets with the ball but it wasn’t enough with the Scots claiming victory with 9 balls and 5 wickets in-hand.
