Jos Buttler had a fine IPL season and recently played well in T20I fixtures against Pakistan. The value is on the England captain against minnows, Scotland.

The value in this game is with England’s batsmen and I am backing Jos Buttler to score big.
- England have won their last 2 completed T20I matches.
- England’s Jos Buttler has scored 84 & 39 runs in his last 2 T20I matches.
- Scotland’s George Munsey scored 28 runs in his last match.
Head to Head
These two have not met in a T20I in recent years.
England Form
England beat Pakistan 2-0 in a four-match series played just prior to the World Cup. While that was their first T20 cricket in some time, many of the players did feature at the IPL.
The first and third game of the series was rained out without a ball being bowled. In the final match of the series, England bowled first, restricting Pakistan to 157 in 20 overs.
In the chase, Phil Salt top scored with 45 off 24 balls. Jos Buttler added 39 runs. Conditions for the World Cup will be vastly different though, so England will need to adapt.
England Injuries & News
Jos Buttler is key to England as captain and as an opening batsman. Their batting lineup is very strong while their bowling lineup, despite some weaknesses, can cause anyone problems.
Scotland Form
Scotland have been in up-and-down form in the T20 format. They have managed a few wins recently but lost their final warmup game against Afghanistan. Their other warmup was rained out against Uganda, although the Scots looked well on their way to victory.
Against Afghanistan, Scotland bowled first in Port of Spain. Afghanistan scored 178 runs in their 20 overs with Chris Sole taking 3-35 for the Scots.
Early wickets put Scotland on the backfoot as they fell to 44-5. George Munsey remained calm at the top of the order, scoring 28 runs. It was left to Mark Watt with 34 runs at the back end to add respectability to the score as Scotland reached 123 in 20 overs.
Scotland Injuries & News
Scotland are likely to pick a similar side to their final warmup game. They will, however, hope the top order can do a bit better.
Verdict
Jos Buttler is backed to score over 25.5 runs and top score for England.
For Scotland, George Munsey is tipped to top score.
