The prediction for the upcoming cricket match between England and New Zealand favors England as the likely winner. Phil Salt is anticipated to be the top scorer for England, while Tim Seifert is expected to excel for New Zealand. The betting odds favor these outcomes with Phil Salt and Tim Seifert both seen as valuable bets for their respective teams. New Zealand vs England Predictions

After winning the Tri-Series against Zimbabwe and South Africa, New Zealand came back to earth by losing 2-0 to Australia. England have won three of their last three completed T20Is so I’m backing them to beat New Zealand.

  • England’s Phil Salt hit four sixes in his 46-ball 89 against Ireland.
  • England’s Jos Buttler has scored 62*, 25, 83 & 28 in his last 5 innings.
  • New Zealand’s Tim Seifert top-scored with 48 off 35 balls against Australia.
  • New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell scored 80 & 34 in his last 3 innings.

Head-to-Head

England have won three and lost two of their last five matches against New Zealand. New Zealand have won the last two matches on the bounce.

New Zealand Form

New Zealand lost the 3rd T20I against Australia by three wickets, and with that the series 2-0 after the second match had been rained off.

New Zealand reached 156/9 off their 20 overs. Tim Seifert hit three sixes in his 35-ball 48.

James Neesham (4/26) destroyed Australia’s middle-order, reducing them to 93/5. Jacob Duffy (2/29) weighed-in with vital wickets, but the Kiwis couldn’t prevent Australia from sneaking home for the win with two overs to spare.

New Zealand Team News

There are no injury reports from the New Zealand squad.

England Form

England completed a 2-0 series win over Ireland when they won the 3rd T20I by six wickets. The second match had been rained off.

Ireland posted 154/8 off their 20 overs. Liam Dawson (2/9, 4.50), Jamie Overton (2/17, 4.25) and Adil Rashid (3/29) all bowled superbly.

England hit their target off 17.1 overs, led by Jordan Cox (55 off 35 balls), who hit four fours and four sixes.

England Team News

England are in good form and are unlikely to make any changes to their team.

Verdict

I am backing England to win. I am also backing Phil Salt to top score for England.

Tim Seifert is a good bet to top score for New Zealand.
