Head to Head
New Zealand have beaten South Africa in their last two matches, both of which have come in this series.
New Zealand Form
New Zealand have dominated this T20 triangular series, winning all four group matches to reach the final with ease. They beat Zimbabwe and South Africa twice.
In their last outing, the Black Caps batted first, scoring 190 runs in 20 overs. Tim Seifert was once again in top form, scoring 75 of 45 balls. Rachin Ravindra aided the opener with a well-played 63 off 39 balls.
Zimbabwe were behind from the start as New Zealand had them at 44-5. Ish Sodhi was the chief destroyer, taking 4-12 in four overs.
New Zealand Injuries & Team News
The Black Caps will likely make a couple of changes to their side as they look to complete their dominance with a trophy.
South Africa Form
South Africa sent a young and largely inexperienced squad to Zimbabwe for this series, and it has shown. Still, despite losing to New Zealand twice, they had enough quality to beat Zimbabwe twice to reach the final.
The Proteas struggled in their last game against New Zealand. Batting first, they stumbled their way to 134 runs in 20 overs with Reeza Hendricks top scoring on 41 runs. Rubin Hermann and Dewald Brevis have shown signs of their quality but will need to put it together in the final.
South Africa struggled to defend that total and New Zealand cruised home with four overs to spare.
South Africa Injuries & Team News
The Proteas are using this series to give some youngsters experience so it is doubtful any of them will be dropped. There may, however, be a couple of rotational changes.
Verdict
Tim Seifert is backed to score over 21.5 runs and top score for New Zealand. Reeza Hendricks is tipped to top score for South Africa.
