Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20I Tri-Series Final Predictions - Salman Agha to take Pakistan to the title

Editor
Last updated: 27 Nov 2025

The T20I Tri-Series final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is set to be an exciting clash. Pakistan, prior to their recent loss to Sri Lanka, were undefeated and are seen as favorites to clinch the title. Key players like Salman Agha and Sahibzada Farhan have demonstrated exceptional performances with the bat for Pakistan, while Dushmantha Chameera has led Sri Lanka with his bowling prowess. Overall, Pakistan is expected to win, with Salman Agha likely to be the top scorer for his team.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, T20I Tri-Series Final Predictions

Pakistan had been unbeaten before losing their last group match to Sri Lanka, who finally pulled out a strong batting performance to clinch back-to-back wins to sneak into the final. Pakistan have been so strong in this series that I don’t think Sri Lanka will have what it takes to beat them in the final.

Head-to-Head

Pakistan have won three and lost two of their last five matches against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan Form

Pakistan’s run of five wins on the bounce ended when they lost to Sri Lanka by six runs in their last group match.

Fakhar Zaman has been one of Pakistan’s most reliable batters through November, scoring 32, 78, 55, 44 and 27* in six innings. Babar Azam has been in great form, scoring 102*, 34 and 74 in his last six innings, while Sahibzada Farhan has scored 80* and 63 in his last three innings.

Mohammad Nawaz is the leading bowler in the series, with seven wickets at an average of 12.14, with figures of 2/22, 3/16 and 2/21 in his last four matches. Abrar Ahmed has taken wickets regularly through November, including figures of 4/27, 3/41 and 2/28 in his last five matches.

Pakistan Team News

Pakistan skipper Salman Agha admitted his side were up against it after slipping to 40 for 4. “You don't often come back and chase it down. I think it was gettable with the dew coming in but we lost too many wickets in the powerplay and gave away too many runs in the powerplay. If you give too many runs in the powerplay, you'll always be chasing the game,” said Agha.

Sri Lanka Form

After losing their first two matches in the series, Sri Lanka got their groove back by winning their last two matches in the group on the bounce to sneak into the final.

Kusal Mendis has been making starts but struggling to convert them into bigger scores, making 20, 34, 25* and 40 in his last six innings. Pathum Nissanka’s 98* is the highest score of the series, but also his only score above 17.

Dushmantha Chameera is second on the wickets list in this Tri-Series, taking seven wickets at an average of 14.57, with figures of 4/20 in the win over Pakistan. Wanindu Hasaranga is fourth on the list with six wickets.

Sri Lanka Team News

Dushmantha Chameera was named Player of the Match after the win over Pakistan. “My plan was to bowl straight, wicket to wicket, in the powerplay and use change of pace. After the dew, it was easy to bat... my plan was to use yorkers and I tried to stick to my strengths, and the execution was right,” said Chameera.

Verdict

I am backing Pakistan to win. I am also backing Salman Agha to top score for Pakistan and Mohammad Nawaz to be their best bowler.

Kamil Mishara is a good bet to top score for the Sri Lanka.
