The DP World Tour and a competitive field return to Denmark to compete for the Danish Golf Championship title at Great Northern for the first time this weekend. Who will lift the trophy come Sunday?

Marco Penge will not be back to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Rasmus Hojgaard in 2025.

Former Major winners Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson are in the line-up.

These are our selections that could win the title this weekend.

Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra

Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra has been on top of his game on the DP World Tour since the beginning of May, placing T18 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T10 at the Catalunya Championship, T22 at the Soudal Open, T12 at the Australian Alpine Open, a victory at the KLM Open, and a victory at the Italian Open before finishing T52 at the Genesis Scottish Open and T46 at the Open Championship.

Other notable results achieved by Lopez-Chacarra this season include 3rd at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, a T25 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, a T15 at the Dubai Invitational, a T21 at the Puerto Rico Open (PGA Tour), 2nd at the Hero Indian Open, and a T9 at the Tulum Championship (Korn Ferry Tour).

The three-time DP World Tour winner finished T26 at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship on debut.

Lopez-Chacarra has been performing well this year and can emerge victorious in Denmark this weekend.

Oliver Lindell

Oliver Lindell has been in solid form on the DP World Tour during the past three months, placing T10 at the Catalunya Championship, T30 at the Soudal Open, T47 at the Austrian Alpine Open, 2nd at the KLM Open, T6 at the Italian Open, T13 at the BMW International Open, and T36 at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Other prominent performances achieved by Lindell this season include a T15 at the Dubai Invitational, a T9 at the Bahrain Championship, a T5 at the Qatar Masters, a T14 at the Hainan Classic, and a T13 at the Hero Indian Open.

The Finnish golfer finished T8 overall at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship on debut.

Lindell has been showing signs that he is ready to win his maiden DP World Tour title at Great Northern this weekend.

Jacob Olesen

Jacob Olesen has featured high on various leaderboards on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour in his last ten starts, placing T4 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T4 at the Turkish Airlines Open, MC at the Catalunya Championship, T2 at the Soudal Open, T26 at the Austrian Alpine Open, T55 at the KLM Open, T41 at the Italian Open, MC at the BMW International Open, T30 at the ISCO Championship, and T6 at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Olesen this year include a T3 at the Qatar Masters, a T5 at the Magical Kenya Open, and a T16 at the Hero Indian Open.

The Dane has featured twice at the Danish Golf Championship, placing T5 in 2024 before missing the cut in 2025.

Jacob Olesen has done nothing wrong lately and can emerge as the winner at Great Northern come Sunday.

Bernd Wiesberger

Bernd Wiesberger has been back to his best on the DP World Tour since the end of April, with a victory at the Volvo China Open, T13 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T13 at the Catalunya Championship, T4 at the Austrian Alpine Open, T24 at the KLM Open, MC at the Italian Open, 3rd at the BMW International Open, MC at the Genesis Scottish Open, and MC at the Open Championship.

Additional highlights from Wiesberger's season include a T10 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, a T13 at the Crown Australian Open, a T14 at the Investec South African Open Championship, and a T12 at the Joburg Open.

The nine-time DP World Tour winner has compiled an outstanding record at the Danish Golf Championship, with back-to-back victories in 2019 and 2021 before finishing T19 in 2024.

Wiesberger has a proven track record at this event and can win this title for a third time in Denmark come Sunday.

Lopez-Chacarra has been in excellent touch this season and can secure another DP World Tour title come Sunday.

Lindell can convert his recent results into a winning performance at Great Northern this weekend.

Jacob Olesen has been knocking hard this season and can secure victory at the Danish Golf Championship come Sunday.
