The FedEx Cup playoffs get underway in Tennessee this weekend, with an elite field descending on the greens of TPC Southwind for the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Who will come out on top in Memphis come Sunday?

Justin Rose is back to defend his title after a play-off victory over J.J. Spaun in 2025.

These are our selections that could win the title this weekend.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood has been ultra-consistent on the PGA Tour during the past three months, placing T23 at the Cadillac Championship, T5 at the Truist Championship, MC at the PGA Championship, T4 at the Memorial Tournament, T11 at the RBC Canadian Open, T11 at the U.S. Open, T14 at the Travelers Championship, T13 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T4 at the Open Championship.

Other prominent performances achieved by Fleetwood this year include 25th at the Dubai Invitational (DP World Tour), a T4 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T7 at the Genesis Invitational, a T8 at the Players Championship, and a T10 at the Valero Texas Open.

The world's sixth-ranked golfer has compiled a solid record at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, finishing T20 in 2018, T43 in 2019, T44 in 2020, T3 in 2023, T22 in 2024, and T3 in 2025.

Fleetwood has been playing well lately and has previously achieved excellent results in his last three starts at TPC Southwind.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick has been performing well on the PGA Tour in his last five starts, placing 2nd at the RBC Canadian Open, 22nd at the U.S. Open, 4th at the Travelers Championship, T3 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and MC at the Open Championship.

Other notable results achieved by Fitzpatrick this season include 9th at the WM Phoenix Open, a T14 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a 2nd at the Players Championship, a victory at the Valspar Championship, a T18 at the Masters, a victory at the RBC Heritage, and a victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The former U.S. Open champion has made six appearances at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, with results of MC in 2020, MC in 2021, T5 in 2022, T66 in 2023, T18 in 2024, and T32 in 2025.

Fitzpatrick has been having an outstanding season and will fancy his chances of taking home the winner's cheque in Tennessee.

Sam Burns

Sam Burns has been in excellent form on the PGA Tour lately, placing T4 at the Memorial Tournament, T20 at the RBC Canadian Open, 2nd at the U.S. Open, T12 at the Travelers Championship, and 3rd at the Open Championship.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Burns this season include a T6 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T13 at the Players Championship, a T21 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, a T7 at the Masters, and a T16 at the RBC Heritage.

The five-time PGA Tour winner has featured six times at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, with results of MC in 2020, T21 in 2021, T20 in 2022, T52 in 2023, T5 in 2024, and T28 in 2025.

Burns can convert his recent form into victory at TPC Southwind this weekend.

Collin Morikawa

Collin Morikawa has been in solid form on the PGA Tour since April, placing T7 at the Masters, T4 at the RBC Heritage, T62 at the Cadillac Championship, T55 at the PGA Championship, T29 at the RBC Canadian Open, T17 at the U.S. Open, 3rd at the Travelers Championship, and T18 at the Open Championship.

Additional highlights from Morikawa's season include a victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T7 at the Genesis Invitational, and 5th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The two-time Major champion has contested the FedEx St. Jude Championship on seven occasions, finishing T52 in 2019, MC in 2020, MC in 2021, T5 in 2022, T13 in 2023, T22 in 2024, and T22 in 2025.

Morikawa has the game to go all the way and make the frame in Memphis this weekend.

Verdict

Fleetwood has the form to emerge victorious at the FedEx St. Jude Championship this weekend.

Matt Fitzpatrick will have every chance to secure the title in Memphis after his recent results.

Burns has come good lately and can win the title at TPC Southwind this weekend.

Morikawa has not been far off from returning to winning ways and offers an excellent each-way bet in Tennessee.
