Salisbury’s Feature Races for 30 June 2026

Salisbury stages an attractive seven-race programme on Tuesday, with the going currently described as good to firm. The card’s principal attractions are the Class 2 Juddmonte EBF Restricted Novice Stakes and the historic Bibury Cup Handicap.

Juddmonte EBF Restricted Novice Stakes

The afternoon’s highest-class contest brings together 11 two-year-olds over six furlongs, with £30,000 in prize money on offer. Harry Knows heads the forecast betting at 2.75, narrowly ahead of Metamouse at 3.75.

Harry Knows has yet to win in three appearances but brings valuable experience and has finished second twice. He was caught only in the final strides by Flying Pirate over this course and distance earlier in June and could reverse that form on the faster ground.

Metamouse is an improving colt who followed a promising debut with an authoritative victory at Chester. He travelled smoothly before taking control inside the final furlong and winning by two-and-three-quarter lengths, suggesting he possesses further potential. Flying Pirate, available at odds of around 5.00, cannot be overlooked after already defeating Harry Knows.

Bibury Cup Handicap

The Bibury Cup is a Class 3 handicap for three-year-olds over one mile and four furlongs, carrying guaranteed prize money of £25,000. Only three runners remain, making it a fascinating tactical contest. Gone By is the strong forecast favourite at odds of 1.83, with Mythical Valentine next at odds of 3.5.

Gone By makes her handicap debut under top weight after cruising to a 12-length maiden victory at Ripon. That performance marked her as a filly of considerable promise, although this represents a tougher test.

Mythical Valentine receives 11lb from the favourite and arrives after winning over almost this distance at Windsor. The Andrew Balding-trained colt could improve again on his handicap debut, while recent winner Pearl River completes a small but competitive field.

Verdict

Harry Knows and Gone By are the favourites to take wins in the day's top two races.
