Netherlands and Morocco clash in a highly anticipated World Cup 2026 match, with both teams showcasing impressive form. The Netherlands are unbeaten in 18 of their last 19 games and prolific in attack, while Morocco holds a 32-game unbeaten streak and has shown resilience throughout the tournament. The two sides appear evenly matched; the article predicts a scoring draw in regular time, with Brian Brobbey as a likely goalscorer. Both teams’ tendency to score suggests a lively contest, recommended bets include both teams to score, Brobbey anytime scorer, and a 2-2 draw.

Netherlands vs Morocco Predictions

This is a very intereresting encounter as two teams who have shown good form lock horns. Neither of them have been shy on goals either, so expect an exciting contest - one I feel will require an extra 30 minutes.
  • Netherlands are unbeaten in 18 of their last 19 matches.
  • Netherlands have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 matches.
  • Netherlands have seen BTTS in their last 3 matches against Morocco.
  • Netherlands Brian Brobbey has scored 3 goals in his last 2 matches.
  • Morocco are unbeaten in their last 32 matches.
  • Morocco have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches.

Head to Head

Netherlands have won two and Morocco one of their previous three encounters.

Netherlands Form

Netherlands had the lead twice in the opening match against Japan, Virgil van Dijk breaking deadlock right after the break, while Crysencio Summerville scored a beauty to restore advantage. Ultimately, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Ronald Koeman’s side looked unstoppable offensively in the second round clash against Sweden, demolishing the Scandinavian side 5-1. Brian Brobbey needed 17 minutes to score a brace, Cody Gakpo also scoring two goals later.

Another dominant performance was seen in the final round, cruising past Tunisia 3-1 to secure first place in Group F. The Netherlands had 1.84-0.64 xG, 71% possession and 20-10 shots in this clash, while Brobbey, Jean Paul van Hecke and Ellyes Skhiri (own goal) appeared on the scoresheet.

Morocco Form

Like their upcoming opponents, Morocco also claimed seven points in the first phase which was enough for second position in Group C.

Mohamed Ouahbi’s side were tagged underdogs in the opening match against Brazil but looked great on the pitch, posting 1.36-1.26 xG with 14-12 shots to claim well-deserved point in a 1-1 draw. Ismael Saibari broke the deadlock early on Brahim Diaz’s assist.

Morocco’s first victory was earned in the second round against Scotland 1-0, Saibari being the sole scorer in the second minute. They didn’t allow a single shot on target to the opposition and had high possession.

The African side wrapped the group phase with a 4-2 victory against Haiti, Achraf Hakimi being named man of the match with one goal and one assist. Morocco posted 3.76 xG and fired 11 shots on target.

Netherlands vs Morocco News & Predicted Lineups

Netherlands (4-3-3) Bart Verbruggen; Denzel Dumfries, Jan Paul van Hecke, Virgil van Dijk, Micky van de Ven; Frenkie de Jong, Ryan Gravenberch, Tijjani Reijnders; Crysencio Summerville, Brian Brobbey, Cody Gakpo

Crysencio Summerville is expected to start this time instead of Donyell Malen who haven't shown much so far in the tournament, while West Ham's winger netted two goals.

Morocco (4-2-3-1) Bono; Achraf Hakimi, Issa Diop, Chadi Riad, Noussair Mazraoui; Ayoub Bouaddi, Neil El Aynaoui; Brahim Diaz, Azzedine Ounahi, Bilal El Khannouss; Ismael Saibari

Ismael Saibari is going to be the biggest attacking threat for Morocco. He has found the net in all three matches so far and fired a total of 10 shots. Brahim Diaz provided two assists.

Verdict

Morocco haven’t lost a single match since August 2025 and looked strong in all three WC 2026 matches so far. Little separates them from the Netherlands at the moment, so I am predicting a scoring draw in regular time.

Another bet worth considering is Brian Brobbey to score anytime. Sunderland’s striker netted a brace against Sweden and scored against Tunisia.
