Salt top-scored with 47 in the opening game and will be expected to provide another quick start alongside Matthew Short. The middle order looks powerful, with Joe Root, Rachin Ravindra and Jordan Cox all capable of scoring at pace. Asa Tribe, Ben Kellaway and Marco Jansen add further hitting power in the closing stages.

The bowling attack faces a major test against a strong MI London batting lineup. Sam Cook and Chris Woakes will need to be accurate with the new ball, while Jansen, who bowled superbly in the last match at an economy of 0.85 per ball, will be important through the middle with Lockie Ferguson. Short and Root may also be required to deliver useful supporting overs.

MI London began their campaign in impressive fashion, beating Sunrisers Leeds by seven wickets with 16 balls to spare. Sam Curran will be pleased with a clinical all-round display, especially after his side chased down a big total with confidence and control.

Will Jacks and James Vince missed out in the opener, but both remain dangerous at the top of the order. Curran was the standout batter with 60, while Nicholas Pooran produced a match-winning innings and will again be key alongside Jason Roy in the middle order. Josh Philippe, Tom Curran and Rashid Khan give the lineup extra depth and late-innings firepower.

With the ball, Trent Boult was excellent in the first game, going at just 0.85 per ball, and will be expected to strike early alongside Tom Curran. Richard Gleeson was decisive with four wickets and will be important through the middle overs with Sam Curran. Rashid Khan adds major threat and variety, with Nathan Sowter offering further spin support.
