Algeria vs Senegal Women Predictions

Algeria reached the quarter-finals for the first time in the previous edition of WAFCON. Senegal have reached the quarter-finals twice in a row in the competition but have struggled to win lately. Algeria are predicted to win with BTTS.

  • Algeria have won 2 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Algeria have scored 5 goals in 5 matches.
  • Algeria have conceded 6 goals in 5 games.
  • Senegal have lost 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Senegal have scored 6 goals in 5 games.
  • Senegal have conceded 9 goals in 5 matches.

Head to Head

Senegal have the advantage over Algeria, with five victories to two in seven meetings.

Algeria Women Form

Algeria recently faced Zambia in back-to-back friendly internationals ahead of the start of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, drawing 1-1 before edging their opponents 1-0 in the next game.

Algeria defeated Egypt 3-0 and 3-2 in two friendlies played between February and March this year before losing 1-0 and 2-0 to South Africa in April.

The Fennecs have won two of their last five fixtures, with two defeats and one draw. They scored five goals and conceded six.

Algeria did well in their last appearance in the competition, and they have been in decent nick in recent outings before the start of WAFCON, giving them the edge to beat Senegal.

Senegal Women Form

Senegal took on Egypt in two warm-up friendly internationals at the beginning of July, winning 1-0 in the opening match before losing 1-0.

Before those results, Senegal had limited success in four international friendlies played between April and June this year. They won 1-0 and drew 3-3 with Burkina Faso before losing 2-1 and 3-0 to Nigeria.

The Teranga Lionesses have secured one victory in their last five matches, including three defeats and one draw. They have scored six goals and conceded nine.

Senegal must produce a clinical performance to beat Algeria in their opening fixture, as they have lacked consistency leading up to the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
