The Nelspruit-based outfit comes into this game in decent form. They have beaten the Lions, drawn with Western Province, lost to the Bulls and beaten the Cheetahs in their last four matches.

In their final round robin match the Pumas were way to strong, beating the Cheetahs 28-19 in Nelspruit. They dominated the forward and kicking battle which laid a platform for a bonus point victory.
