Bordeaux are enjoying a fine season in sixth place on the Top 14 table. Their 11 wins in 20 matches have been above expectations but their conquests in Europe have arguably been superior.

After winning their opening two matches of the European Champions Cup, the tournament was suspended due to COVID-19. No further group matches could proceed so the top teams qualified.
