Borussia Dortmund had good run at the Club World Cup group stages, advancing as group winners with seven points.

Niko Kovac’s side started the tournament with a bit surprising goalless draw against Fluminense where they didn’t do much offensively, followed by a 4-3 thriller win over Mamelodi Sundowns where Serhou Guirassy, Jobe Bellingham and Felix Nmecha scored in the first half.

Bellingham added an assist to his name in the third round, Daniel Svensson finding the net to secure a 1-0 win for Dortmund against Ulsan.

Monterrey Form

Monterrey were one of the most disciplined teams at the CWC so far, conceding just one goal in three games while winning five points.

The Mexican side started the tournament with back to back draws against Inter Milan 1-1 (Sergio Ramos scoring a header in the first half) and River Plate 0-0.

A spot in the Round of 16 was clinched by crushing Urawa Red Diamonds 4-0 in the final round. German Bertrame was man of the match scoring a brace, Jesus Corona and Nelson Deossa also on target.
