Dragons vs Zebre Predictions - Dragons backed to end losing streak

I am backing the Newport side to cover the -6 handicap at home.

Zebre have won three of their last five against the Dragons, including earlier this season by three points. All of the last five games have however been won by the home side.

The Dragons are having another poor season with just two wins from their 12 games in the URC. They are currently bottom of the table, three points off their opponents.

The Newport outfit have lost their last five games in all competitions, including a 20-17 away defeat to Zebre. Their last win came at the start of January when they beat the Scarlets by a point.

Last week the Dragons lost 31-10 at home to the Bulls. Prior to that, they lost to the Sharks, Glasgow and Ulster by heavy margins.

This is an opportunity for the Dragons to climb off the bottom. A win should secure a place above Zebre for the next week so they will be at full strength.

Zebre are second from bottom with one win and a draw in 12 games. However, their performances have largely been good, and it shows in the eight bonus points they have picked up.

The Italian minnows have lost four on the bounce since beating the Dragons at home in mid-January. They lost by a point to Pau, by five points to Edinburgh before losing 45-29 at Munster.

Last week, Zebre lost 31-7 at home to the table topping Leinster.

Zebre have no reported injuries after last week’s defeat. I expect a similar side.
