Munster are the defending champions and some great form late on in the season saw them top the URC table. They face a tough task against Ospreys, who have performed admirably this term.

While I believe Munster will be too good at home, I do fancy Ospreys to get inside the 15-point handicap.

Last season Munster beat Ospreys 58-3 on home soil. This weekend is expected to be vastly different.

Munster Form

Munster struggled early on in the season but came good in the second half with a superb run of form. They topped the URC table with 13 wins from 18 games.

The Irish side have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions, so their form is superb. Last week, Munster beat Ulster 29-24 at home. Prior to that, Munster defeated Edinburgh, Connacht, Lions and the Bulls.

The latter two results were both in South Africa, which is certainly a feather in the cap for the Munster squad.

Munster will be at full strength this weekend with very few injury concerns.

Ospreys Form

In a poor season overall for Welsh sides, Ospreys has been the one positive. They did not look like they’d make the top eight, but results last week went their way as they just snuck in ahead of the Lions.

After causing an upset by beating the Stormers in Cape Town, Ospreys lost heavily to the Bulls and Leinster. They bounced back to beat the Dragons after those two losses.

Last week, in a must-win game away against Cardiff, the Ospreys let the pressure drive their performance in a 33-29 victory.
