UEFA Nations League Predictions - 6 October 2026, Round 4


Luxembourg vs Bulgaria


Both sides have failed to score in their last two matches, with Luxembourg losing both matches after winning their Nations League opener 2-1 away to Bulgaria. They’ve won two of their last four matches while Bulgaria are winless in five matches.

Bulgaria haven’t scored in their last two matches and have scored just three goals in five, while Luxembourg have just three goals in their last five matches. My instinct is to go for a low-scorer but the payout isn’t great. Luxembourg to win is at 2.1 which looks strong, but a Luxembourg win to nil has my fancy. 

Moldova vs Slovakia


Slovakia are undefeated in six matches, with four wins and conceding just four goals while scoring nine. They beat Moldova 2-0 at home in their Round 1 meeting.

Moldova lost four matches in a row before April but since then have lost just one match in five and have scored eight goals in their last six matches. Slovak are huge favourites for the win but Moldova play it tight so a draw is not off the cards and would pay out well. Both teams to score looks the smartest call. 

Scotland vs Slovenia


The sides started Nations League 2026 with a goalless draw on Slovenia’s home turf. Both sides beat North Macedonia 2-0 and lost to Switzerland.

Scotland are strong favourites despite losing four of their last four home matches, failing to score in any of them. Slovenia have also lost three of their last four matches but have scored five goals in their last three matches on the road. 

Scotland were goalless in four matches ahead of their win over North Macedonia and considering both sides’ lack of goals scored and conceded I’m going out on a limb and backing a goalless draw.

Estonia vs Iceland


Estonia are a tough nut to crack at home, winning their last three matches 1-0 on home turf. Iceland don’t travel well, winning just two of their last 10 matches, failing to score in five of those matches. 

The teams drew 1-1 in their Round 1 clash 10 days ago, with Estonia picking up a 0-0 draw followed by a 1-0 win in their last two matches, but they have conceded just once in their last five matches. Iceland won their last two matches 3-0 but away to Iceland this has the making of a slow evening for strikers.

Verdict

I’m backing a Luxembourg win to nil, Moldova and Slovakia to both find the net, a goalless draw between Scotland and Slovenia and under three goals between Estonia and Iceland.
