  • Argentina have won 4 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Argentina have scored 16 goals in 5 games.
  • Argentina have conceded 3 goals in 5 matches.
  • Benin have won 2 of their last 5 fixtures.

  • Benin have conceded 8 goals in 5 matches.

Head to Head

Argentina and Benin will meet for the first time in a competitive match.

Argentina Form

Argentina cruised to back-to-back victories in their friendly international fixtures played at the end of September and last weekend, beating Bolivia 4-0 before thrashing Burkina Faso 7-0.

Before that, La Scaloneta cruised during the group stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating Algeria 3-0, Austria 2-0, and Jordan 3-1. They then edged Cape Verde 3-2 after extra time in the round of 32, beat Egypt 3-2 in the round of 16, defeated Switzerland 3-1 in the quarter-finals, and beat England 2-1 in the semi-finals before losing 1-0 to Spain in the final.

La Albiceleste have won four of their last five matches, with one defeat. They scored 16 goals and conceded three.

Argentina were in great touch in their previous match and will fancy their chances to produce another fine performance against Benin, bringing down the curtain on Lionel Messi's illustrious career for his country.

Benin Form

Benin picked up valuable points in their recent AFCON qualifiers played towards the end of September, drawing 1-1 with Burkina Faso before edging Mauritania 2-1.

Before those results, Benin drew 1-1 with Niger and were thumped 5-1 by Togo in two friendly internationals played in June.

The Cheetahs have won three of their last five games, including two defeats. They scored six goals and conceded five.

Benin have struggled to win their matches recently, having secured three victories in their last eight outings, and look very unlikely to salvage anything out of their encounter with Argentina, as their opponents have won 16 of their last 17 fixtures.
