At the 2025 World Rugby U20 Championship, South Africa thrashed Australia 73-17, beat England 32-22, and thumped Scotland 73-14 in the group stages. They subsequently beat Argentina 48-24 in the semi-finals before beating New Zealand 23-15 in the final.

Australia U20 Form

Australia let a first-half lead slip against New Zealand in their opening U20 Rugby Championship match on Monday, losing 34-29 after leading 24-12 at half-time.

Before that, Australia lost 73-17 to South Africa, beat Scotland 34-24, and lost 36-33 to England during the group stages of the 2025 World Rugby U20 Championship. They faced Italy in the semi-final play-offs, winning 44-21 and then defeating England 68-40 to finish fifth overall.

Australia will aim to bounce back to winning ways after letting a lead slip in their previous match but will find the going tough against the Junior Boks, as their opponents performed well against Argentina.
