France are on a four-match losing streak and while they are a world class outfit, motivation for this fixture may be an issue after the disappointment of Saturday. With Fiji it is always tough to call though, given the nature of their game, but I do fancy them within 22.5 points.

France will be in a bit of despair after their much publicised “revenge match” against South Africa last Saturday ended in another defeat. After winning the Six Nations earlier this year, France would have targeted that one game for the rest of the year.
Of course, France did lost 3-0 to New Zealand in New Zealand in July but as usual, they sent a very inexperienced side during the July window – one that was closer to a third-choice team than second choice.
For much of the year, France have been considered the only side that can truly match South Africa. That, despite defeat on Saturday, is likely still the case.
Perhaps it came a week early as the French had not played since the Six Nations, but that was their decision, and it could hamper them in the remaining fixtures.
France Injuries & Team News
Fabian Galthie has made six changes to his side that lost last weekend. Nicolas Depoortere comes in at 13 while Pierre-Louis Barassi starts at 12 for an all-new centre pairing. Maxime Lucu comes back into the scrumhalf jersey with fit again Gregory Alldritt campaign the side from eight.

Fiji showed prior to the 2023 Rugby World Cup and during the tournament that they are no longer a tier two side; they can mix it with the big boys. Earlier this year, Fiji retain their Pacific Nations Cup and lost narrowly to Australia prior to the B+I Lions tour.
After beating Japan 33-27 in the Pacific Nations Cup final, England were the next side on Fiji’s radar. They gave as good as they got at Twickenham last weekend but again, discipline let them down.
After being competitive for large parts, England finally pulled away to a 38-18 victory.

Verdict
Fiji were solid against England last week and can take advantage for a French side still reeling from their loss to South Africa. I am backing the visitors to get within 22.5 points.
