Since the sacking of Warren Gatland after the round two defeat in Italy, the side has performed much better. At home against Ireland, Wales gave as good as they got, going down 27-18.

Last week, at Murrayfield, the Welsh came close to getting a win under the belt but went down 35-29 to the Scots. One thing is for sure, Wales would love nothing more than end England’s title hopes in Cardiff.

Wales have been far better the last two rounds and will certainly be looking to build on those performances in front of their home fans.

England Form

England are currently second on the table with three wins from their four games. They are just a point off France and simply must win this game to put some pressure on the French later on.

However, England won’t have it all their own way in Cardiff against a Welsh side that does little better than make life very difficult for the English on the field. England’s only defeat this season came in round one in Ireland.

Since that loss, England have beaten France at home, very fortunately before seeing off Scotland 16-15, also at home. Two successive one-point wins were enough to put England in contention.

Last weekend, England were a bit more free flowing against Italy, winning the game 47-24.
