Rebels vs Chiefs Predictions - Chiefs set for comfortable win in Melbourne

The Rebels have had a fine season and currently occupy sixth place on the table. They have won five and lost six of their 11 games.

That said, the recent form of the Rebels have been poor with three straight defeats since they beat the Highlanders at home on 13 April. The Rebels suffered two heavy defeats at the Crusaders and at home to the Blues before losing 26-22 last weekend to the Reds away.

At home the Rebels have been decent this season and while, for now, they look secure of a knockout place, they will want to keep those behind them at bay.

With three tough games remaining, the Rebels will target this game for a victory as it’s their last home encounter.

The Chiefs are fourth on the table with 38 points, just one behind the Brumbies and five off the Hurricanes. They will want to be in a position to pounce should any of those above them slip up.

The Hamilton-based outfit have won their last three matches in Super Rugby. After losing at the Hurricanes, the Chiefs beat the Waratahs in Sydney before returning home to thrash the Western Force 56-7.

Last weekend the Chiefs were in rampant form once again, running in a 43-7 victory over Moana.

The Chiefs may rest players as this is the final game where they may have that chance. They should still fancy taking the points in Melbourne.
