Toshiba Brave Lupus vs Canon Eagles Predictions - Hosts backed to cover handicap in Japan

Last season, Canon Eagles beat the Brave Lupus 59-48 at home.

Brave Lupus are flying at the top of Conference A in the Japan Rugby League One. They have won all six of their matches and are on 27 points, three clear of Tokyo Sungoliath.

In mid-January, Brave Lupus thrashed Honda Heat 40-12 on home soil. That bonus point win took them clear at the top of their Conference. 

In their last game, towards the end of January, Toshiba Brave Lupus beat Toyota Verblitz 28-12. It was another dominant performance from the table topping side.

With such a long period between league games, I think the Toshiba side will be unchanged.

Canon Eagles have won four of their six games and are third in Conference B. They do have a game in hand on the sides above them, and should they win this Saturday, the Eagles will move into second place.

The Eagles have also not played any league games since the end of January so they will need to get back into the swing of things. They have won four of their last five games, so at least confidence will be there.

Last time out the Eagles lost at home to the Kolbeco Steelers. However, their four wins over the Black Rams, Dynaboars, Liners and Verblitz before that were pretty convincing. 

The Eagles should be at full strength.
