Gabon vs Ghana Preview & Tips
Gabon got off to a good start while Ghana lost their opening match. Ghana are favourites but they have failed to score in their last two matches. I’m backing this to end in a draw.

- Gabon vs Ghana FAQ
- Gabon are unbeaten in 5 of their last 6 matches (all competitions).
- Gabon have seen under 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 7 matches (all competitions).
- Ghana have seen under 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches (all competitions).
Head to Head
Ghana have won two of their last three matches against Gabon. They have not played each other since 2011, on that occasion Ghana won 2-1 at home.
Gabon Form
Gabon finished second in their recently completed World Cup qualifying group after winning just two of their six matches.
Since then, Gabon have played two friendly matches in preparations for AFCON. They lost the first match 3-0 to Burkina Fason before drawing 1-1 against Mauritania.
In their AFCON opener, Gabon beat Comoros 1-0 thanks to a 16th minute goal by Aaron Boupendza.
Gabon Team News
Manager Patrice Neveu may have Mario Lemina and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back for this fixture. They had to isolate with COVID upon arrival and thus missed the opening match.

Ghana Form
Ghana won four of their six World Cup qualifiers and topped their group. They did require a controversial penalty in their final match against South Africa to qualify.
The Ghanaians lost their only pre-AFCON friendly 3-0 to Algeria. It didn’t get much better in their opening Africa Cup of Nations match as they lost 1-0 to Morocco.
That defeat makes this game crucial for Ghana and their hopes of progressing. They will need to offer more attacking threat.
Ghana Team News
Ghana are likely to remain unchanged despite defeat in the last match. Mohammed Kudus is still a doubt.

Verdict
Ghana have failed to score in their last two matches and lost their AFCON opener. This should be another game shy on goals which I'm tipping to end 1-1.
