Lesotho had no answer in the first leg against the Seychelles, but they have some fair form for the reverse fixture. Seychelles will have to start scoring goals to have a chance of victory. Lesotho are predicted to win to nil.

  • Lesotho have drawn 2 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Lesotho have scored 2 goals in 5 games.
  • Lesotho have conceded 3 goals in 5 matches.
  • Seychelles have lost 4 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Seychelles have scored 0 goals in 5 matches.
  • Seychelles have conceded 23 goals in 5 games.

Head to Head

Lesotho have a slight edge with two victories to one against the Seychelles, including two draws in five meetings.

Lesotho Form

Lesotho failed to take their chances in the Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round qualifier against the Seychelles midweek, settling for a share of the spoils after the score ended 0-0.

Before that, Lesotho lost 2-1 to Nigeria and defeated Zimbabwe 1-0 in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and then drew 0-0 and lost 1-0 against Malawi in two international friendlies last November.

Likuena have registered one win in their last five games, with two defeats and two draws. They scored two goals and conceded three.

Lesotho will be out for redemption in their Africa Cup of Nations second-leg match against the Seychelles after their finishing upfront let them down in the opening leg.

Seychelles Form

Seychelles kept Lesotho at bay during their Africa Cup of Nations first-leg preliminary round match midweek, drawing 0-0.

Before that result, Seychelles were soundly defeated in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers played between September and October last year. They lost 4-0 to Gabon, 5-0 to Kenya, 7-0 to the Ivory Coast, and 7-0 to Gambia.

The Pirates have lost four of their last five matches, with one draw. They scored no goals and conceded 23.

Seychelles will be pleased to have kept the first leg to a goalless draw to give themselves a chance of making it to the next phase of the competition. However, they have been in poor form for a while, losing 15 of their last 17 games.
