Morocco recorded a 3-1 victory against Mali in their WAFCON quarter-final clash last weekend.

Morocco scored the opening goal in the 7th minute of the match to gain the upper hand over Mali in the first half.

Morocco secured their second goal from a penalty kick after 79 minutes of play and their third ten minutes later before Mali pulled a goal back in the seventh minute of stoppage time. 

Morocco had 65% possession and 16 shots in the match, with five attempts on target.

Before that result, Morocco drew  2-2 with Zambia before defeating DR Congo 4-2 and Senegal 1-0 in their opening WAFCON fixtures. 

Morocco won four of their last five fixtures, including one draw. They scored 12 goals and conceded five. 

Morocco will relish their semi-final clash against Ghana, as they have performed well lately and are scoring goals in the competition. Additionally, they have won seven of their eight matches.

Ghana Women Form


Ghana advanced to the semi-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations after beating Algeria 4-2 on penalties.

Ghana created the most chances in their encounter against Algeria but failed to find the back of the net during both halves and in extra time. 

Ghana had 44% possession and 16 shots in the game, with two attempts on target.

Before that result, Ghana lost 2-0 to South Africa and drew 1-1 against Mali before thrashing Tanzania 4-1 in their opening Women's Africa Cup of Nations group-stage games. 

Ghana have won two of their last five fixtures, including two defeats and one draw. They scored six goals and conceded seven.

Ghana faces a difficult task in beating Morocco in the semi-finals, as they have produced inconsistent performances at WAFCON thus far, and have lost twice in a row to their opponents.
