Morocco reached their second consecutive WAFCON final after beating Ghana mid-week 4-2 on penalties in their semi-final after the score had ended 1-1 after extra time.

Morocco were left trailing 1-0 after Ghana scored the opening goal after 26 minutes of play in the first half.

Morocco did not take long to equalise after the second half restart, levelling matters with a goal in the 55th minute of the match. 

Morocco had 59% possession and 13 shots in the match, with two attempts on target.

Morocco drew 2-2 with Zambia, defeated DR Congo 4-2 and Senegal 1-0 in Group A of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations before beating Mali 3-1 in the quarter-finals. 

Morocco won four of their last five fixtures, including one draw. They scored 11 goals and conceded six. 

Morocco extended their unbeaten run to nine matches, which included eight victories and one draw; however, they will need to play well to beat a Nigerian side that has conceded only once during the tournament.

Nigeria left it late to beat defending WAFCON champions South Africa 2-1 in their semi-final clash mid-week. 

Nigeria created the most chances to score in the first half against South Africa and broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime via a penalty kick.

Nigeria conceded 15 minutes into the second half from a spot kick before scoring a dramatic winner against South Africa in the fourth minute of stoppage time. 

Nigeria had 45% possession and nine shots in the game, with seven attempts on target.

Nigeria beat Tunisia 3-0, edged Botswana 1-0, and drew 0-0 against Algeria during the group stage of WAFCON before thrashing Zambia 5-0 in the quarter-finals. 

Nigeria have secured four victories in their last five matches, including one draw. They scored 11 goals and conceded one.

Nigeria have been in great touch during this edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations and remains unbeaten in eight matches, which includes six wins and two draws.

Michelle Alozie scored the later winner in stoppage time.
