Young Africans Form & Team News
Young African sit top of Tanzania’s Ligi Kuu Bara table. They reached this stage by beating Nigerian side Rivers United by a 2-0 aggregate score.
After five successive wins, they were beaten 2-0 at rivals Simba SC. A 2-0 first leg win at Rivers United followed.
They finished the job with a 0-0 second leg stalemate. A week ago, they won 2-0 at Singida Big Stars.
Striker Fiston Mayele is a key man and he netted a brace in the last round.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi has a clean bill of health with no injuries or suspensions to deal with.
Young Africans Predicted Lineup
Diarra; Job, Mwamnyeto, Hamad; Shabani, Yahya, Bangala, Mussa, Lomalisa; Mayele, Ki.
Marumo Gallants Form & Team News
Gallants reached this stage by topping their CAF group and then beating Pyramids 2-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals. They’re only outside the PSL relegation zone on goal difference.
A run of 13 points (3 wins, 4 draws) in seven matches in the PSL preceded a 1-1 first leg draw at Pyramids FC. Marumo won the home leg 1-0 to progress to the semis.
A 92nd minute goal rescued a 2-2 draw at Maritzburg United. Their last match saw a 2-0 home loss to Mamelodi Sundowns to end an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
Coach Dylan Kerr has right back Mpho Mvelase available after he served a domestic suspension. Left back Lebohang Mabotja is doubtful and there is little cover.
Celimpilo Ngema should be fit to return in midfield. Lesiba Nku will be recalled on the right wing.
Marumo Gallants Predicted Lineup
Arubi; Mvelase, Gumede, Toure, Nkili; Nku, Ngema, Mohomi, Sibeko; Chivaviro, Koapeng.
Verdict
The odds for this match are yet to be released. I will be backing a home win with a clean sheet.
