Arsenal vs Brighton & Hove Albion

The last two meetings between the sides have ended in a draw, with Arsenal winning the previous two meetings to nil. Arsenal’s record of five wins in the last five matches should give them the edge over a Brighton side that lost their last match 4-2 away to Man United.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool’s seven-match winning streak ended at the end of September with Crystal Palace shocked them with a 2-1 home win. Liverpool have lost five of their last six matches, but Palace have also slipped, losing three and drawing one of their last four matches. I can’t see Liverpool’s losing run continuing, so this should be a good win for the home side.

Swansea City vs Manchester City

Swansea have scored just three goals in their last four matches and shouldn’t pose a threat to City, even if they rest a number of their star players. City were frustrated to lose 1-0 to Villa on the weekend, but it was their first loss in 10 matches, which included seven wins. Swansea last beat City 42 years ago, and have shipped 3-plus goals a match against City in their last four meetings, so this looks like another big City win loading.

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle are riding a great run of form, with four wins from their last five matches, with a 12:3 scoring rate. Spurs have just two wins in five, along with two draws and twice as many players on the treatment table. The last time the two teams met saw them draw 1-1, but Newcastle have won the previous four matches against Spurs, so I’m picking them to beat Spurs again.

Man City to smother Swansea, and Newcastle to maintain their winning form over Spurs.
