Blackburn vs Derby

Two in-form teams face up looking to make further progress up the table, with three and four wins on the bounce respectively. Blackburn have won four of their last four meetings against Derby – make that six home wins in a row against their visitors – so history is in Blackburn’s favour.

Millwall vs Preston

One point separates the two teams in the playoff places. Preston have won their last three on the bounce, while Millwalls’ four-match winning streak came to a halt with a draw against Oxford before a 4-0 thumping by Birmingham. The teams have drawn three of their last five games, but I’m seeing Preston riding their wave of form to put one over their hosts in a low-scoring game.

Southampton vs Sheffield Wed

Wednesday are turning the corner, pulling off two draws in a row after their four-match losing streak. The Saints are also looking up, beating QPR 2-1 away to end their three-match losing streak. Neither side is full of goals, so this has a low-scoring draw written all over it.

Wrexham vs Charlton

Wrexham took four points off Charlton last season, including a 3-0 win at home. Wrexham’s last home match was a 3-2 win over league-leaders Coventry and they’ve lost just one of their last six home matches, so I’m backing Wrexham to keep Ryan Reynolds’ Premier League dream alive by beating Charlton.
