Leeds to go down to red-hot Norwich.

Leeds vs Norwich

Norwich are on fire, winning nine of their last 11 games and scoring 27 goals to boot. The Championship side have played superbly to lift themselves clear of the drop zone, although they can’t relax just yet.

The confidence of Norwich’s current form - along with the relief of their 11-point gap ahead of the bottom three sides - could free them to play an expansive game as they look to take down a Leeds side just three points above the Premier League relegation zone.

Leeds have been struggling of late, losing their last two games (both at home), with three defeats and three draws in their last eight matches. They did pull off a tremendous 2-2 draw away to Chelsea a month ago just a week after losing 4-0 at home to Arsenal, so they are a bit of a mixed-bag at the moment.

Norwich have won five and lost one of their last six on the road, while Leeds have lost three and won one of their last four home games, so I’m backing a win for the Championship side.

Fulham vs Southampton

Fulham are a tough nut to crack at the best of times, but for Championship side Southampton a trip to Craven Cottage isn’t going to be easy. Southampton are a tough opposition, though, sitting one spot off the playoff positions in the Championship table.

Fulham have won five and lost five of their last 10 matches, scoring 15 goals but failing to hit the back of the new in three of those matches. The London side has won five and drawn one of their last eight games at home, although their last three matches have seen them lose twice.

Southampton are undefeated in nine matches, winning seven of them and netting 21 times. On the road they recently went winless for five games (D1, L4) before beating Doncaster in the FA Cup, drawing 1-1 with Portsmouth and then scoring nine goals to win their last three games on the bounce.

I’m backing this to go to extra time, with the home side to snatch a late win.

Port Vale vs Sunderland

Port Vale have lost their last six games against Sunderland over the years and are currently bottom of League One, staring relegation in the face. They’re undefeated in their last four matches, pulling in two wins and a pair of draws, but over their last 10 matches they have lost four, drawn three and lost three.

Sunderland’s away form has been decent, winning two and drawing one of their last three games, but they have gone goalless in four of their last 10 games and scoring just one goal in each of their other five games. They haven’t been prolific in front of goal, netting just 12 times in their last 10 games, but they are likely to change that against their League One opponents.
