Brighton & Hove Albion tackle Chelsea in the English Premier League on Monday night at the Amex. The two sides showed defensive frailties last season, so I'm tipping this clash to provide goals.

Brighton & Hove Albion won two of their first four fixtures when football returned at the end of last season. Those victories were a 3-2 home win over Arsenal and a 1-0 success at Norwich.

With their Premier League status pretty much secured, the Seagulls went four games without a victory, losing 3-1 to Liverpool and 5-0 to Manchester City at home. They also drew twice; 1-1 at Southampton and 0-0 at home against Newcastle United.

In Brighton's last match of the 2019/20 campaign, the side from the south coast took down Burnley 2-1 away from home, with Yves Bissouma and Aaron Connolly scoring.

Brighton's Davy Propper is a doubt in midfield for whilst winger Jose Izquierdo is out with a knee injury. There could be debuts for new signings Joel Veltman in defence and Adam Lallana in midfield.

Chelsea completed their 2019/20 Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Wolves at home to secure a UEFA Champions League spot. Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud scored the goals for the Blues.

In their last two fixtures - both in cups, Chelsea went down 2-1 to Arsenal in the FA Cup final and 4-1 away to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

Brazilian centre-back and new signing Thiago Silva will miss Chelsea's opener as will fellow arrivals, left-back Ben Chillwell and winger Hakim Ziyech. Mateo Kovacic is suspended in midfield but Christian Pulisic is fit to feature on the wing.

German duo of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz could make their debuts in attacking areas after signing for Chelsea.
