Chelsea welcome champions Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for a Premier League clash. Both sides won their opening fixtures of the league season last weekend, but Liverpool did look frail at the back against Leeds United.

Chelsea claimed a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Monday in their opening Premier League fixture of the season.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho opened the scoring with a penalty, before Leonardo Trossard levelled for the hosts after the break with a fine strike. But Chelsea proved to be too strong and goals from Reece James and Kurt Zouma sealed the points.

Hakim Ziyech remains out with a knee injury, along with Billy Gilmour. Jorginho is a doubt with a thigh injury picked up in the win over Brighton.

Thiago Silva could be in line for his first start for Chelsea, while Ben Chilwell may also make his debut if shaking off a foot injury. Christian Pulisic didn't feature against Brighton but is expected to be available.

Champions Liverpool started the defence of their Premier League title with a classic 4-3 win over newly-promoted Leeds United at Anfield last weekend.

The Reds required an 88th-minute penalty from Mo Salah to secure the points. Leeds hit back three times in a bid to cause a major upset, but the champions sneaked it at the death.

Salah scored an opening-day hat-trick, while Virgil van Dijk also found the back of the net.

Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain remains sidelined for Liverpool along with Xherdan Shaqiri. Konstantinos Tsimikas is still unavailable due to quarantine requirements.

Fabinho was on the bench against Leeds but is expected to come back into the starting line-up to firm up Liverpool's midfield after conceding three against Leeds.
