Nottingham Forest v Chelsea

Forest can feel the drop zone at their ankles and have lost four of their last five games, making them ripe for the plucking. Chelsea’s form is up and down, and they are 13:9 in terms of goals scored, but they are one win off third place, so they will do what’s needed to shut Forest out. Unlikely to be a big scoring game.

Fulham v Arsenal

Table-toppers Arsenal have won three, drawn one (Man City) and lost one (Liverpool) and will be determined to expand their League lead. Fulham are 14th in the League and have won two and lost three of their last five games in the Premier League… but they are a bit of a bogey side for Arsenal recently. The sides have drawn twice and each won one of their last four games… but at home Fulham have won one and drawn one against Arsenal in their last two matches at Craven Cottage. Smart money will bet on Arsenal to win, but there’s great value on a Fulham win or a draw.

Sunderland v Wolves

Wolves have been woeful, so this should be easy pickings for Sunderland who are in 9th spot… and four points off 3rd place. Wolves have had a slight uptick after beating Everton in the League Cup and then drawing with Spurs and Brighton in the League. Sunderland has won two, drawn two and lost one (Man United, away) of their last five games, but home ground should make the difference. Neither side is rich in goals, so it could be a low-scorer.

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth

Both teams are in incredible form, with Bournemouth just two points behind Arsenal and Palace four points behind. Palace have won four and lost one of their last five matches, while Bournemouth have won three and drawn two. Palace have beaten Liverpool twice this season and are undefeated at home this season in six matches. They shared two goalless draws last season, but I’m fancying a low score draw as they have both shown a nose for goal when it counts.

Tight win for Chelsea, while Arsenal to be frustrated again at Craven Cottage.

Sunderland to wipe Wolves out with a single goal, while Palace to share the points with the Cherries.
