Head to Head

In 131 previous matches, Manchester City have won 56 and Wolves 50. There have been 25 draws.

Man City Form

Man City are fourth in the Premier League and have a one point cushion inside the Champions League qualification places. City have boosted their top five hopes after a six-match unbeaten run.

Pep Guardiola’s side have hit strong form recently and won four games in a row in all competitions. Three of these wins came in the Premier League against Crystal Palace 5-2, Everton 2-0 and Aston Villa 2-1.

The Citizens extended their winning sequence with a 2-0 FA Cup semi final triumph over Nottingham Forest. Rico Lewis and Josko Gvardiol scored as City controlled the game with 67% possession.

Man City Injuries

Midfielder Rodri and striker Erling Haaland have long-term injuries and won’t play.

Defensive duo John Stones and Nathan Aké are also unavailable due to injury.

Wolves Form

Wolves comfortably avoided relegation from the Premier League this season due to improving form under Vítor Pereira. The Midlands side are unbeaten in seven and have won six consecutive games, scoring 13.

The Old Gold began their run of six wins with victories against Southampton 2-1, West Ham 1-0 and Ipswich 2-1. Wolves then trashed Tottenham 4-2 and secured a 1-0 victory at Man United.

Pereira’s side climbed up to 13th in the table after beating Leicester 3-0. Wandrers had 20 shots and Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rodrigo Gomes got on the scoresheet.

Wolves Injuries

Forwards Leon Chiwome, Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso González are ruled out.

Defender Yerson Mosquera and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone are also sidelined with injuries.

Verdict

City are back to their best and Wolves are one of the most in-form Premier League teams. Sticking with goals between these two high-scoring teams is the best option on Friday.
