In the upcoming Premier League clashes, West Ham and Fulham are expected to face challenging encounters against their opponents. Meanwhile, Manchester City and Liverpool are predicted to secure strong victories, aiding their rise in the league standings. English Premier League predictions, Matchday 23, Saturday

West Ham vs Sunderland

The odds are in favour of a win for the visitors, although West Ham will scrap like mad as they are five points below the 17th-placed side. Both sides have won their last two games, but West Ham’s wins were preceded by five defeats and a draw.

West Ham’s home form isn’t great, losing eight of their last 11 League games. Sunderland haven’t won in the League on the road in six games, so considering West Ham’s relegation battle this could be destined for a draw.

Fulham vs Brighton

This is the perfect mid-table battle to keep an eye on, with both teams in reach of Europe if they can hit a winning run. Fulham should have the edge at home after picking up two wins in their last five League matches, while Brighton have three draws.

Brighton have just one League win on the road in their last eight matches, losing four times. Fulham’s home form is strong, winning six and drawing one of their last 10 home games. They’ve scored 13 goals in their last six homes games, and Brighton have been goalless in just one of their last six games on the road, so this looks like a goal-heavy game.

Manchester City vs Wolves

There’s a lot of value in throwing your hat in the ring for a Wolves win or a draw in this clash, and if you’re right your payout will be great, but despite Man City losing their last two games they can never be written off.

Wolves are unbeaten in five games and City haven’t won in the League in four, but the City side is so full of talent it’s unlikely that streak will continue. Erling Haaland has had a relative goal drought, so a beleaguered Wolves could be the perfect setting for a couple of Haaland specials.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Bournemouth should be safe from relegation, but they’re facing a Liverpool side scrapping to hold onto fourth place with a pack of six teams at their heels, so they will be plenty motivated. After a messy first half of the season Liverpool haven’t lost in 13 games while Bournemouth have won just one in 14, losing seven.

Liverpool have won four of their last seven on the road while their hosts have won just one of their last six games at home, so it’s stacking up for a Liverpool win. Bournemouth have scored more goals this season than Liverpool, so it’s likely to be a low-scorer as they each average around 1.5 goals per game.

Verdict

West Ham and Fulham to tough it out against their visitors, while Man City and Liverpool to hold onto the spots on the table with solid wins.
