Hungary followed a strong qualification stint with friendly wins over Turkey (1-0) and Kosovo (2-0) in March. Marco Rossi’s side then suffered defeat in the Republic of Ireland (2-1) before a 3-0 home victory over Israel.

The Magyars raced into a 22-minute 3-0 lead in their triumph over Israel and comfortably closed out the win. Roland Sallai scored early before Barnabas Varga scored a quickfire brace.

Murat Yakin’s side drew in Denmark (0-0) and beat the Republic of Ireland (1-0) in March’s friendlies. The Rossocrociati had similar results in their Euros warm-up matches, beating Estonia (4-0) before drawing 1-1 against Austria.

Switzerland were 1-0 down after five minutes against Austria. Silvan Widmer equalised before half time and the Rossocrociati couldn’t find the winner.
