Head to Head

Algeria have the advantage with six victories to three over Uganda, including four draws in 13 meetings across all competitions.

Uganda Form

Uganda returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Botswana at home in the FIFA World Cup qualifier last weekend.

Uganda had moments to score against Botswana in the first half but could not put the ball in the back of the net.

Uganda finally broke the deadlock in the second half with a strike in the 74th minute of the match, which was the winning goal.

The Cranes have won three of their last five fixtures, including one defeat and one draw.

Uganda have recorded two victories in their last five home games, including two losses and one draw. They scored seven goals and let in five at the back.

Uganda can secure the top spot in Group G if they can beat their opponents at home, as they are level on points with Algeria; however, the Fennec Foxes have a solid record against the Cranes.

Algeria Form

Algeria dropped vital points at home after losing 2-1 against Guinea in their World Cup qualifying encounter last week.

Algeria had no way past the defence of Guinea in the first half, going into the break locked in a stalemate.

Algeria went behind early in the second stanza after Guinea scored in the 50th minute of the match; however, they had a player score an own goal two minutes later to bring the score level before Guinea grabbed the winner 11 minutes later.

The Fennec Foxes secured one victory in their last five matches, including two losses and two draws. They scored nine goals and conceded 11.

Algeria has won two of their last five away fixtures, including one loss and two draws. They scored nine goals and conceded four.

Algeria will be under pressure to get back to their best after their disappointing run at the Africa Cup of Nations, and they did not get the desired result at home last week.
